Promoting the mental health of a diverse society

Faculty in the counseling and counseling psychology program focus on the education of counselors and psychologists to become culturally competent to work with a diverse clientele in a variety of mental health settings. The program emphasizes the use of research to enrich the curriculum and student training with the goal of promoting the health of individuals, families, groups, and organizations in a multicultural and diverse society.

Established in 1956 as a community counseling clinic for the counseling and counseling psychology graduate degree programs, the CTC provides confidential counseling services for ASU students, staff, faculty and the broader community.
