Description
Are you excited by the possibilities of film and film production? Expand your creative journey by learning more about the industry and about basic narrative techniques. This Interdisciplinary Studies Concentration lends an imaginative spark to your undergraduate degree experience.

Students pursuing the film and media production concentration study the basic production processes of film while learning about the history and practices of the film and media industry as well as the cultural value of cinema, television and digital media.

 Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 9 upper division hours for this concentration.
  • A maximum of 6 hours of transfer work is accepted toward this concentration.
  • Electives must be related to film and media production. Choose from courses with the FMP, THF, THP or THE prefix. Contact the school for options and course requirements.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
  • Prerequisite courses may be needed in order to complete the requirements of this concentration depending upon elective course selection.
  • *Students considering a minor in theatre concurrently must complete an additional course in theatre or film to make up for the overlapping FMP 201 course.
  • M - Course transfer equivalent available from Maricopa County Community College District, details are provided on the Transfer Information tab.
