Requirements


Description
The concentration in English focuses on effective writing, critical thinking and sophisticated reading of literary and non-literary texts. The concentration will help the student to become a better writer, reader and thinker, making the English concentration the perfect complement to other concentrations.

Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
  • A minimum of 6 upper division hours must be taken through the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts.

Core 3 Hours

ENG 200 Critical Reading and Writing about Literature (3) (Prerequisite: ENG 102 or 105 or 108 with a “C” or better)

Upper Division 6 Hours (must be taken through the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts)
