Description
The Greek classical studies concentration offers students a wide variety of opportunities to study the language, literature and culture of the ancient Greeks and Romans. This concentration is ideal for those students interested in pursuing a classical education in conjunction with another concentration.

Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 29 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
  • Five semesters of ancient Greek (17 credit hours; GRK 301 and 302 may be repeated for credit) is required.
  • A minimum of 6 upper division hours must be taken with courses offered in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

GRK 201 Intermediate Ancient Greek (5) (Prerequisites: GRK 101 with a grade of C or better)

GRK 301 Ancient Greek Literature I, HU (3) (Prerequisites: GRK 201 with a grade of C or better)

GRK 302 Ancient Greek Literature II, HU (3) (Prerequisites: GRK 301 with a grade of C or better)

Electives 6 Hours Required
