Description
The concentration in gender, women, and sexuality studies The minor in gender, women and sexuality studies is an interdisciplinary program emphasizing intersectional approaches to the study of gender, race, class, ethnicity and sexuality in national and transnational contexts. The curriculum leads students to explore ideas about gender and understand how these ideas have been transformed by feminist theory.
Requirements
- Student must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours for this concentration including 12 hours of upper division hours.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
- 12 elective hours of approved Women and Gender Studies courses must be taken after consultation with the Women and Gender Studies advisor.
- Students pursuing this concentration are encouraged to meet with an advisor early in their course of studies.
