Description
A concentration in real estate is designed to provide an understanding of the real estate industry. The concentration consists of a strong foundation including real estate fundamentals, law, appraisal and land development. Students may choose from a variety of courses from investing to economics to urban issues to complement the foundation. Students who complete the concentration will have established a competitive knowledge base for careers in the real estate industry.

The W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University is an approved pre-licensure real estate school of the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) through its undergraduate minor and Interdisciplinary Studies Concentration in real estate. 

Students who have declared a concentration in real estate and have completed the four core real estate courses will have satisfied the 90 hours of sales pre-license education in the classroom, in the State of Arizona.

Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 upper division hours of required courses and 6 hours of electives for this concentration area.
  • A minimum of 12 hours for this concentration must be completed at ASU.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of "C" (2.00) or higher.
  • The upper division business courses required or elected for this concentration will be restricted to students with 56 earned credit hours.
  • A minimum 2.50 ASU GPA is required for all 400 level REA courses.
  • Students must complete the 4 real estate core courses with grades of "B" or higher at ASU in order to apply them towards the 90 hours of sales pre-license classroom education for the State of Arizona.
