Ambassador since:
April 2024
Major:
Interdisciplinary Studies, BA with concentrations in Studio Art and Biological Sciences
Experience:
I'm a pre-med student on track to apply to medical school to become a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in either women's health or oncology. I am an active sister of Omega Phi Alpha national service sorority, where I hold the position of fundraiser officer and completed more than 70 hours of service. I am also the former president and current treasurer and secretary of a pre-health club called Medical Humanities Society at ASU that collaborates with the elderly residents of Mirabella in narrative medicine humanities and arts workshops. I am also president of the Egyptian Student Association and vice president and treasurer of the American Holistic Nurses Association at ASU. This academic year, I hope to enter research regarding HPV prevention and engage in more community service in both my sorority and as an honors Pat Tillman's scholar. Furthermore, I hope to attend a study abroad program in Florence, Italy as part of my studio art concentration.
Future plans:
I'm currently interested in specializing as an oncologist or OB/GYN as a D.O.; however, I am also open to joining international service organizations where I can volunteer as a medical professional in underserved communities.
