Requirements


Description
The concentration in Communication provides exposure to practical and theoretical aspects of communication, focusing on message-based processes that create, maintain and transform identities, relationships, organizations and cultures.

Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 9 of upper division hours for this concentration.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of ā€œCā€ (2.00) or higher.
  • A minimum of 6 credit hours must be taken through the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts.

Core -- 6 Hours Required

COM 100: Introduction to Human Communication (3)
COM 225: Public Speaking and Presentations (3) OR COM 259: Communication in Business and the Professions (3) 

Upper Division Electives -- 12 Hours Required

Any COM 300 (upper division)
Any COM 400 (upper division)
