Requirements


Description
The concentration in Modern Hebrew provides students with a firm foundation in modern Hebrew language and a broad knowledge of Israeli culture, leading to advanced skills in reading, writing and conversing in modern Hebrew. The concentration also includes study of the Israeli culture, literature, politics and history. It enriches students' perspective on the Middle East and offers them a deeper understanding of the current affairs. Students pursuing careers in foreign politics, international business, tourism, media, translation and in different levels of education, will benefit from this concentration.

Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 20 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
  • Students wishing to add the concentration in Modern Hebrew must complete HEB 101 and 102 to satisfy the requirements to enroll in HEB 201.
  • A minimum of 12 credit hours must be earned at ASU or in an ASU-approved study abroad program.
