Requirements
Description
The astronomy concentration is designed for students interested in developing a basic understanding of astronomy and astrophysics and analyzing issues through a scientific viewpoint.
Requirements
- Students must complete a minimum of 23 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
- 10 credit hours of upper division courses in physics and astronomy are chosen with approval of an Astronomy advisor.
- Prerequisites (not counted in concentration total hours):
- MAT 265 Calculus for Engineers I OR MAT 270 Calculus I with Analytical Geometry I, MA
- MAT 266 Calculus for Engineers II OR MAT 271 Calculus with Analytical Geometry II, MA
- MAT 267 Calculus for Engineers III OR MAT 272 Calculus with Analytical Geometry III, MA
