Counselor Training Center

Our services

Services at the Counselor Training Center are provided on a semester schedule. Clients who start services at the beginning of the semester will maximize the number of sessions they receive. We often have openings throughout the semester, so you may still be able to receive services even if you did not reach out at the beginning of the semester.

When requesting an appointment, let us know which semester you would like to begin services. If all appointment slots are filled, we'll add you to our wait-list and contact you when an opening becomes available.

Take the first step toward better mental health

The Counselor Training Center offers in-person and telehealth appointments. Request an appointment at [email protected] or by calling 480-965-5067.

Counseling services

The Counselor Training Center provides counseling services for no- or low-cost, making mental health care accessible. Services are provided on a semester basis, providing, on average nine to 14 total weekly sessions. If services are started later in the semester or cease prior to the end of the semester, the total number of sessions will be lower.

CTC counseling services are free for all students attending an Arizona college or university, that includes Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, University of Arizona and community colleges, as well as private universities and colleges, such as Grand Canyon University.

Assessment services

The CTC provides affordable assessment services for minors and adults in-person at its location at the Polytechnic campus in Southeast Mesa. Doctoral student clinicians conduct assessments under the supervision of an experienced faculty member.

Assessments include a written report provided to the client after the feedback and results appointment.

After the initial appointment, if testing is not recommended or client concerns fall outside the clinic’s scope, the CTC will provide appropriate referrals, and the client will not be charged for the intake appointment.

Fees:

  • ADHD assessment: $400
  • ADHD + learning disorder assessment: $600
