Description
Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to build your nutrition-focused brand, understand the inner workings of a restaurant, and launch your own food-related business.

The food and nutrition entrepreneurship concentration is available to undergraduate students interested in developing a greater understanding of nutrition, the food industry and food service operations.

Students gain basic knowledge and skills that can be used toward starting and managing their own business in the food industry. Some areas of study include:

  • food service purchasing and management
  • nutrition communication
  • nutrition management and leadership
  • nutrition science

Requirements

  • Students must complete a minimum of 19 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of ā€œCā€ (2.00) or higher.
  • Upper Division Course prerequisite: NTR 100 or NTR 241.
