Desert Food Production

Requirements

• Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 upper division hours for this concentration.
• No more than two credit hours of ABS 484 Internship may be counted toward the concentration requirements.
• Four credit hours of electives must be from upper-division courses.

Elective Courses (6 credit hours, 4 hours must be from upper-division courses)

ABS 225 Soils AND ABS 226 Soils Laboratory

ABS 360 Southwest Home Gardening 

ABS 365 Future of Agriculture: Vertical Farming

ABS 414 Plant Pathology

ABS 462 Greenhouse/Nursery Management 

ABS 484 Internship (No more than two credit hours of ABS 484 Internship may be counted toward the concentration requirements.)
