Requirements


Description
The project management concentration prepares students to manage complex projects and lead project management teams in a variety of professional settings. Project management skills enhance and enrich the skills students receive, and compliment a great variety of concentrations.

Students learn the skills needed to manage complex projects in fields like engineering, business, health care, information technology, sustainability, computing, public and nonprofit sectors, and many more. Students learn skills in project leadership, project quality management, project risk management, project schedule management, project cost management and project resource management.

Requirements

 

  • Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 upper division hours for this concentration.
  • Depending upon a student's undergraduate program of study, prerequisite courses may be needed in order to complete the requirements of this concentration.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of "C" or better.
  • PMG 240 is needed as a prerequisite for all 300-level minor courses
  • PMG 321 is required for all 400-level minor courses
  • Students must have completed a minimum of 56 hours to declare this concentration.
