Requirements
Description
The concentration in medical studies focuses on preparing students for employment in health care and clinical medicine, including in both direct and indirect patient care.
Students take coursework in:
- applied medical and health care ethics
- historical aspects of medicine
- leadership and professionalism
Students have the option of enhancing the application of core concepts through completion of an internship. This concentration does not take the place of pre-med academic preparation for those who plan to apply to medical school.
Requirements
- Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of āCā (2.00) or higher.
