Requirements

Description

Learning happens everywhere and in all industries and professions. The educational studies concentration prepares you to work with learners of all ages not just in schools but also in nonprofit settings, community organizations and businesses.

The educational studies concentration prepares students to work with children, youth and adults in a variety of learning contexts.

Students broaden their skill set by completing specialized coursework in topics such as pedagogy, educational technology and problem-solving.

Students learn how to apply educational techniques in many professional settings. The concentration provides a foundation for students to make an impact as educators in a society in which the importance of lifelong learning and learning outside traditional school-based environments is likely to grow.
