
Recreation Management
Requirements
Description
The concentration in recreation management introduces students to community recreation programming and planning for a variety of populations. Students from such various disciplines including business, education, nursing, public affairs, social work, and many others might find this program a beneficial supplement to their existing program.
Requirements
- A total of 18 credit hours must be completed to finish the concentration area, including 12 upper division hours.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
- Must be a junior to take 400-level course.
- PRM 304 is only offered in fall sessions.
- PRM 401 is only offered in spring sessions.

PRM 120 Leisure and Quality of Life, SB (3) (REQUIRED)
PRM 203 Program Planning, L (3) (Credit is allowed for only CSM 203 or PRM 203)
Electives - 12 credit hours
CRD 302 Inclusive Community Development, C (3) (Prerequisite(s): ENG 101, 105, or 107 with C or better; minimum 45 hours; Pre- or corequisite(s): CRD 210 or PRM 210 with C or better if completed)
PRM 315 Community Recreation Systems (3) (Prerequisites: PRM 120 with a grade of C or greater)
PRM 364 Foundations of Therapeutic Recreation, SB (3) (Prerequisite(s): minimum 45 hours)
PRM 453: Inclusive Community Sport (3)
PRM 475 Entrepreneurial Recreation and Tourism (3) (Prerequisite(s): minimum 45 hours; Credit is allowed for only PRM 475 or TDM 475)

IDS Core Course Information
All Interdisciplinary Studies students are required to complete a 9 credit-hour core and 9 credit hours of context/application courses.

- IDS 201 Intellectual Fusion (recommended for freshman/sophomore students)
- Prerequisites: None

- IDS 301 Becoming Interdisciplinary (3) (recommended for transfer students and/or students declaring IDS in their junior or senior year)

- IDS 302 Integration Skills (3)
- Prerequisite(s): Interdisciplinary Studies major; IDS 201 or 301 with C or better
