Applied Biological Sciences

Description
The applied biological sciences concentration is designed for students who have strong interests in the life sciences and the interaction of these sciences with the ecosystem and human society within the ecosystem.

Mastery of fundamental biological principles is emphasized through quality learning in the classroom and hands-on activities in laboratories and in the living laboratories of the Sonoran desert and surrounding ecosystems (as well as the landscape of the greater Phoenix area). Activities include field trips, internships, laboratory work, faculty-guided research, and service-learning projects.
