Everyone knows a veteran. Most civilians revere their service. But most people haven’t listened to their stories beyond park statues, parades and bumper stickers.

Join us for an insightful conversation with Lisa E. Silvestri, director of the “Telling War" project, an initiative aimed at giving voice to veterans through creative arts and multimedia storytelling that engages people in meaningful dialogue about the experience of war. Silvestri is also the author of the award-winning book “Friended at the Front: Social Media in the American War Zone.”  She is associate professor of communication studies at Gonzaga University.
