Young author at work on writing activity

ASU's Young Authors’ Studio Online is a free, online creative space for youth writers ages 10-18.

Through the Young Authors Online website youth can:

  • Complete many kinds of fun writing activities and choose to earn a certificate.
  • Send in their work until April 15, and an ASU writing mentor (students in the class ENG 484/584: Mentoring Youth Writers) will respond with feedback.
  • Submit their creative work to be published in ASU’s new online journal, "Unscripted," showcasing the work of emerging youth writers, poets and artists. The journal is accepting fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, comics, short films and song submissions until April 15, 2020.

Young Authors' Studio Online was founded by and is coordinated by Wendy R. Williams,, assistant professor of English in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts at ASU Polytechnic campus.
