ASU professor Maura Priest draws from her book-in-progress, “The Ethics of Dating,” to discuss some of the core ethical issues that arise in early relationships, or the “pre-relationship” phase often called dating (e.g. ghosting, physical preferences, gender norms/roles, honesty about one’s self, honesty about intentions and breaking up).
Priest is an assistant professor of philosophy and a bioethicist in the School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies.
Her presentation is part of the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts' annual Humanities Lecture Series at ASU Downtown Phoenix campus. The series, organized by the Faculty of Languages and Cultures, provides opportunities to analyze, discuss, and interpret current research and events.
