Biography

Dr. David Corlett received his Ph.D. in History from the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. David is currently a Lecturer with the Faculty of Leadership and Integrative Studies in the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts.  Before joining ASU, he held a Professional Faculty appointment as Assistant and then Interim Director of the National Institute of American History and Democracy and was affiliated faculty with the Harrison Ruffin Tyler Department of History at the College of William & Mary.  As a partnership between William & Mary and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, NIAHD offers programs, courses, internships, and public lectures on American history, public history, material culture, and museum studies. He is currently on the board of directors for several area museums and community organizations. 

Dr. Corlett is a professional project manager (Certified Scrum Master and DASM certified) with over two decades of project management experience in applied settings to include the United States Army, the public history sector, non-profits, and higher education programs and administration.  Corlett has designed and taught courses in History, Project Management, and Organizational Leadership, and he is a core faculty member in the new Master of Project Management degree offered by the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts.
