Alumnus John Steward presents as part of the ASU Polytechnic Campus Alumni Lecture Series

ASU's Polytechnic campus is now 20 years old! ASU colleges with a presence at the campus are celebrating two decades of accomplishments by organizing a year-long speaker series, featuring alumni from each unit talking about their time spent at ASU and about the work they're doing now.

John Steward, CEO and president of ETI, co-developer of the OREX technology, will speak about how perspective, perseverance, and passion have been his cornerstones in life, helping him accomplish his dreams and goals.

Eastern Technologies Inc. is an Alabama based company specializing in services to nuclear facilities. The OREX (polyvinyl alcohol based) product and processing technology are used extensively throughout the United States and in other countries for radioactive waste volume reduction. Steward is also executive vice president of Global Resources International, a U.S. manufacturing company specializing in medical and industrial product development, manufacturing, and sales, with facilities in the United States, mainland China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Steward is a 1997 master's graduate of the environmental technology management program (now environmental and resource management) in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

All talks in this series are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
