Academic Services Coordinator Associate
ASU Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law
2013, BA in General Studies
“The bachelor of general studies was a perfect match for my interests and prepared me for my career,” says alumna Milena Dankenbring, who now holds the position of academic services coordinator associate with the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at ASU. “In my current role I perform as a member of a team that manages all aspects of the registrar’s office to ensure student, faculty, and external customer satisfaction."
Milena added, "In the undergraduate general studies program I focused on courses in communication, cultural and global awareness, social-behavioral sciences, event planning, and tourism, which enhanced my ability to successfully interact with the diverse groups I serve. This degree also prepared me for continuing my education via a graduate program in sustainable tourism at ASU. Being a former flight attendant and a nature lover, I have a passion for travel, wildlife preservation, and poverty alleviation.”
In addition to her career, Milena’s pastimes include serving the campus community by volunteering for events such as the A-Mountain cleanup. She plans to get more involved in reducing plastic waste and in finding other ways to make the world a sustainable and healthy place.
