The applied biological sciences minor is a rigorous and practical program. Consistent with a polytechnic vision, this minor involves extensive student interaction with faculty through experience-based learning activities, including:
- faculty-guided research and service-learning projects
- field trips
Mastery of fundamental biological principles is emphasized through quality learning in the classroom and hands-on activities in laboratories and in outdoor settings that include the Sonoran Desert, surrounding ecosystems and the landscape of the greater Phoenix area.
