Requirements


The Construction Management concentration will be comprised of course work in construction management processes incorporating the technology and industry practices required to ensure a quality-built environment. Due to industry demands for increased numbers of skilled personnel, this concentration will provide much needed supplementary knowledge for architects, engineers and business majors as well as students who study sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours.
  • All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.

CON 244 Working Drawing Analysis (2)

CON 252 Building Construction Methods, Materials and Equipment (3) (may be required for some electives)

CON 243 Heavy Construction Equipment, Methods and Materials (3) (may be required for some electives)

CON 383 Construction Estimating (4) (Prerequisite(s): Construction BS major: CON 243 and 252 OR Construction Engineering BSE major: CON 243; Credit is allowed for only CON 383 or CNE 383)

CON 448 Sustainable Construction (3) (Prerequisite: Senior standing; Credit is allowed for only CON 448, CON 494 or CON 598 (Sustainability in Construction)
