Community Health
Requirements
Description
The community health concentration is designed for students who want to create healthy, sustainable communities with an emphasis on working with specific populations. Community health is a specialized field within public health and concentrates on the actions and conditions needed for the health and well-being of defined groups of people. Students will learn to work with teams in diverse settings to formulate research-based strategies that assist communities to make healthy and sustainable lifestyle choices.
Requirements
- Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
- A minimum 9 upper division hours must be taken in courses offered by the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
