Requirements
Description
The School of Politics and Global Studies offers a concentration in global studies for students who wish to examine global issues from a transdisciplinary perspective focused on an overarching theme of quality of life.
Requirements
- Students must complete a minimum of 18 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
- A minimum 12 upper division hours must be taken in courses offered by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Only 3 credits of SGS 484: International Internship may be counted toward the concentration.
Core 6 Hours Required
SGS 101 Thinking Globally: The Individual and Authority, SB (3)
OR
SGS 301 Principles of Global Studies (3)
SGS 303 Global Trends, SB (3) (Prerequisites: Completed 30 credit hours or more; ENG 101 and 102 with a grade of "C" or better)
Electives 12 Hours Required
Six to Twelve upper division hours required to meet minimum 12 upper division hours in this concentration.
Select in consultation with a Global Studies advisor.
Any SGS 200, 300 or 400 level course EXCEPT NOT FROM SGS 101 OR SGS 301
