Geography (Geographical Information Science)
Requirements
Description
Students in the geographical information science concentration are able to enter the job market and have knowledge for positions in GIS, meteorology, urban planning, travel and tourism, product marketing and others. Students develop a strong academic foundation that prepares them for graduate work in areas such as climate science, cultural geography, environmental and landscape dynamics, GIS science and spatial analysis, urban and regional analysis, and urban and environmental planning.
Requirements
- Students must complete a minimum of 19 credit hours including 12 of upper division hours for this concentration.
- All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” (2.00) or higher.
- A minimum 6 upper division hours must be taken in courses offered by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- * Prerequisite: Minimum 45 hours
